My path to this moment hasn’t been straight or simple.
Have you ever followed a path that looked right on paper… but didn’t feel right in your heart? I have.
For a long time, I followed what felt expected of me. I was shy. I was still finding my voice. I didn’t yet know how to say, “This isn’t for me.” So I stayed on a road that wasn’t fully mine.
But here’s the thing about seasons - they change.
Creativity has always lived in me. My sister and I both loved art at school and were always doing something creative as a hobby. We definitely get it from our mom. She was always creating something when we were younger, and I still remember helping her at markets where she was selling handmade products.
In high school, I took art and graphic design, and absolutely loved it! I went on to study in a creative field, excited about what the future might hold.
But life had other plans.
After college, what started as a graphic design job slowly became a marketing career. Eleven years later, I was still there. It paid the bills. I was good at it. People said I was doing well.
But deep down? Something was missing.
In 2021, I started making colourful earrings, for the joy of creating again and maybe just maybe for the dream of starting my own business. And something sparked. A fire I hadn’t felt in years. That spark turned into something bigger.
That’s how Remember October was born.
Remember October is more than earrings. It’s a reminder.
A reminder that life has seasons, just like nature. Some bright, some softer, some quieter. But every season carries its own kind of colour.
Even on dull days, colour can shift your mood. It can bring vibrancy into your everyday life. It can remind you of who you are.
